This post is all about how you can dress up your t-shirt dress outfit.
One of the comfiest things you can wear is an oversized t-shirt dress. Depending on the design or print on it they can also be really chic. On my last few trips to Target I have been noticing a lot of t-shirt dresses and I instantly had a variety of different ideas on how you could style them for summer and fall.
Below I have a style guide on different ways you can elevate your t-shirt dress outfit this season.

Dress Up Your T-Shirt Dress With Shoes
One of the easiest ways to spice up any outfit is with shoes. Thigh-high boots for example instantly dress up any casual outfit you are wearing. This is my personal favorite way to style my outfit. You can also throw on a blazer over your shirt and that will also give it an overall dressier look along with the thigh high boots.
Knee-high boots also give the outfit a dressy vibe.
If you are going for a more casual look but still want to look like you put some effort into your outfit then consider pairing your t-shirt dress with some good combat boots or chunky sneakers.
Chunky sneakers in particular will make any outfit you wear look a lot more casual. This is a great everyday outfit you can wear when your going shopping or out for a coffee.
Layer Up
Layering is one of my favorite things to do with my outfits year-round. By layering you are adding more texture and dimension to your outfits which makes the overall outfit look more interesting. This is something I played around with a lot during my college days and OMG I had so much fun coming up with different outfit ideas.
For a casual every day look you can layer on a denim jacket for spring and summer. For a fun twist try an oversized denim jacket, chunky boots or sneakers with your t-shirt dress for a more fashion forward look.
If you want a going out look or date night outfit then try layering a leather jacket over it. A leather jacket will definitely give it a dressier and edgier vibe, especially if you also wear knee-high or thigh-high boots with it.
Another casual way to wear an oversized tee dress is by wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath that’s a different color from your t-shirt dress. The contrast in colors will really make the outfit pop. During fall you can also wear a turtleneck top underneath for extra warmth.
If you have not played around with layers in your outfits you are totally missing out.
Accessorize
Another really great way to spice up any outfit is by accessorizing. If you are not really into jewelry then you can accessorize by choosing a fun bag or backpack. A fun trendy accessory idea is to wear your t-shirt dress with a fanny pack. There are so many good ones available right now.
I would style my outfit with a great crossbody bag or mini backpack.
