Summer is one of the best seasons to wear dresses. Dresses can be super versatile and can be worn in many ways for different occasions. Things to consider for when you go shopping for a new dress are comfortability, the event you are going to, the material of the dress and whether or not you will be able to wear the dress again in the future.
Below I have listed 4 dresses for summer to look and feel great.
BLACK SUMMER DRESSES
I have mentioned many times on my YouTube channel and on previous blog posts how much of a fan I am of the little black dress. Not only is it a super classy and sophisticated option, but you will most likely be able to rewear the dress in the future.
Black dresses are great for formal outings such as baptisms, weddings, day and night time work parties, and date nights. Depending on the style of your dress you can also wear it to job interviews in the future by throwing on a blazer over it.
Since the little black dress is more of a classic piece rather than a trendy one it is one that you will be able to wear for years to come. For this reason the little black dress is a staple in any woman’s wardrobe.
THE COCKTAIL PARTY DRESS
A short mini or midi dress with a fun color or print to it is great to wear to any cocktail party. In the YouTube Video below I show you a pink dress with a more structured design which is both fun because of the color, but also dressy because of how the dress fits. Going for a more put together sleek dress is a great way to go for weddings, date nights, or work events. They are also a great option if you are going to an event where the dress code is semi-formal.
CASUAL SUMMER DRESSES
Wrap dresses are a great all-rounder dress. If you are looking for a dress to wear to a picnic with friends, an outdoor birthday party or a baby shower then this is a great outfit option. It is comfortable, lightweight and airy; perfect for summer.
Other summer events you can wear wrap dresses to are, lunch and dinner dates, bridal showers, girls night, brunch and concerts; they are great for more casual events.
SUMMER MAXI DRESS
Shopping for a maxi dress that is lightweight, cute and appropriate for more formal events can sometimes feel overwhelming. If it is really hot where you live then you might not want a maxi dress with a lot of fabric.
