The reason I went through my empties bag was because I was working on this post and I needed to photograph the mascaras I was going to be talking about for this 9 Best Mascaras for Beautiful Looking Lashes post.
Before I talk about the best mascaras for lush looking lashes I want to let you know what exactly I look for in a mascara. The first thing is that I want length, lots and lots of length. Volume is also important as well as a long lasting formula. Nothing is more annoying than having mascara running down your face when you least expect it. All of the mascaras I am going to mention give my lashes length and volume and have a wonderful long lasting formula.

BEST LENGTHENING MASCARAS FOR GORGEOUS LASHES
Benefit Cosmetics Bad Gal Bang Mascara
This Benefit mascara is my absolute favorite mascara. It gives volume, length and it doesn’t run down my face. The brush has really small bristles, so it’s easy to get the product on all the lashes. It has more of a wet formula so I like to let it dry down a bit before adding another layer. Total winner in my opinion.
Tarte Lights, Camera Lashes Mascara
This Tarte Mascara has quickly become another favorite. It gives a lot of length and some volume to my lashes.
BEST VOLUMIZING MASCARAS FOR ALLURING LASHES
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara
On days when I want a lot of volume I like this Marc Jacobs mascara. It does add length as well, but what I notice more is definitely the volume. This mascara is jaw dropping good.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
This Too Faced mascara is almost identical to the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara in my opinion. They both give very similar volume and length. When it comes to choosing between the two it honestly comes down to which one I see first in the store. Thats how similar they are to me at least.
Tarte Big Ego Mascara
The Big Ego mascara is great for volume and length. I always notice that my eye lashes look extra thick when I wear this one.
Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Mascara
This Charlotte Tilbury mascara gives you the best of both worlds. If you want length and a lot of volume then this is one to consider. I loved adding a second coat of this mascara for a more dramatic look.

I really like this one for everyday makeup looks. It adds a little bit of volume and length. It’s perfect for everyday.
Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Lengthening Mascara
This mascara has worked its way to my heart. I used to dislike it when it first came out, but now I love it more for the natural looking volume it gives my lashes. The length it gives my eye lashes is minimal, but I love it for minimal makeup days.
Tarte Sea Surfer Curl Mascara
The Sea Surfer Curl mascara is great for “no makeup, makeup days”. It gives a very natural look to the lashes.
