A Day at the Apple Orchard

Image by Fernanda Rodriguez One of my favorite fall traditions is going to an apple orchard. ( This is the one I went to: Edwards Apple Orchard, Winnebago, IL) From apple picking to eating apple pie, there are so many things you can do. However, I think that two of my absolute favorite things to do is picking out a pumpkin and tasting all of the different food that they have out.

With this particular apple orchard, I always have to mentally prepare myself before I go, because there are so many things I know I will want to buy! Not only do I want to take all of the food home with me, but the whole candle section as well. This year my mom, sister, and I decided to just leave with one thing not including a bag of Honeycrisp apples and apple cider donuts.

The first thing we did was try out all of the different food that they had out. Then we went downstairs where they sell food and we each bought a piece of apple pie with ice cream and apple cider. Everything was delicious!

In the end we ended up buying one candle, a salsa, an apple butter, apples, donuts, and comfy socks (I know, weird right?).

I think the best thing about going to any apple orchard is that it reminds me of my childhood. Everything smells like fall. I love it.

Hope you all enjoyed this post. What are your favorite things to do during the fall? Let me know in the comments below!
