It’s no secret that Paris has many incredible places to visit. In this blog post I will be going over some of the best places to visit in Paris and why I think they should be on your list of places to see in Paris, France
BEAUTIFUL PLACES TO SEE IN PARIS, FRANCE
PALACE OF VERSAILLES
Visiting the palace of Versailles is an absolute must. The Palace of Versailles is not that far of a drive from Paris, and you can easily travel by bus or the metro. If you are a history and architecture enthusiasts then I think you will love visiting. Getting to see Marie Antoinette’s room in particular was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris; it was beyond beautiful. The palace is huge and there is so much to see so definitely make sure to schedule enough time to see everything.
The Versailles Gardens are also stunning. The gardens of Versailles are definitely another must as as well as the city of Versailles as well.
Prices vary depending on which ticket option you choose. The palace of Versailles is located on Place, d’Armes, 78000 Versailles, France.
MOULIN ROUGE
There is no better show to see in Paris, France than Moulin Rouge. This cabaret show is unlike any show I have ever seen. The music, choreography, the outfits and the delicious champagne are something I will never forget. If there’s one show to attend while in Paris it’s definitely Moulin Rouge.
Prices vary. Moulin Rouge is located on 82, BD de Clichy, 75018 Paris Montmartre.
PLACE DU CARROUSEL & LOUVRE PYRAMID
I know the The Louvre Museum is at the top of some peoples bucket list of places to see in Paris. However, if you don’t have enough time to explore the museum you can still enjoy seeing the Louvre Pyramid just outside the Lourve for free. Walking the streets around the Lourve are also a must. Here you will also be able to see the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel (don’t confuse it with the Arch de Triomphe). If you have the time this is a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the view or take pictures.
The Louvre Pyramid is located on Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris, France.
PLACE de VOSGES & PALAIS ROYALE
The Place des Vosges and its gardens were high on my bucket list and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Again, I would say if you are a big history and architecture nerd then this is a must see. The Place de Vosges is incredible to see and peaceful. If you visit make sure you also walk to to the famous Colonnes de Buren /Les Deux Plateaux at Palais Royale then make your way to the Jardin de l’Hotel de Sully.
If you are looking for something to do and want more of a relaxed peaceful sightseeing day then check out Place des Vosges and Palais Royal.

EIFFEL TOWER
You can’t go to Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower. I personally loved seeing it while on a river cruise during sunset. Getting to see the Eiffel Tower when it lights up just as it’s getting dark is breathtaking. You can get tickets to go up the Eiffel Tower or you can just sit by and enjoy the view.
Tip: There are many places and streets by the Eiffel Tower that are bit further away but are great for taking pictures. It’s also not as busy with people so that’s a plus.
The Eiffel Tower is located on Champ de Mars, 5 Av. Anatole France, 75007 Paris, France.
THE CENTRE POMPIDOU
According to my tour guide the Centre Pompidou is a great place to get a great city view. Even though I didn’t have enough time to go inside the modern art museum it is still an incredible place to see from the outside.
The Centre Pompidou is located on Place Georges-Pompidou, 75004 Paris, France.
RUE DE ROSIERS
If you want to get food and do some shopping then make sure you go on Rue de Rosiers. This street is filled with shops and so much history.
RUE DE RIVOLI
Another street to get a lot of shopping done is Rue de Rivoli. My personal favorite shop is of course a bookshop. Galignani is a bookshop you definitely want to visit if you want to get a few books. This bookstore was recommended to me by my tour guide when I asked about French history books. Galignani has books in both French and English. Also, the workers there were incredibly helpful which made my book shopping experience even better.
Librairie Galignani is located on 224 Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris, France.
HOTEL DE VILLE
Hotel de Ville is absolutely stunning. The architecture is beautiful and it’s a great place to take pictures.
Tip: Try to see it at night time. It is even more beautiful at night with all the lights on outside.
Hotel de Ville is located on Pl. de l’Hotel de Ville, 75004 Paris, France.
MEDICI COLUMN
Calling all royal history nerds! If you love learning about royals and are familiar with Catherine de Medici then make sure to check out the Medici Column. Not going to lie, my excitement was through the roof when I got to see it. Also, if you are a fan of the show Reign it’s kind of cool to see something the real Catherine de Medici requested be built for her.
The Medici Column is located on 1 All. Baltard, 75001 Paris, France.
NOTRE DAME
The Notre Dame cathedral is another stunning view. You definitely don’t want to miss seeing it up close and personal.
Notre Dame cathedral is located on 6 Parvis Notre- Dame – Pl. Jean-Paul II, 75004 Paris, France.
RIVER SEINE
Walking by the Seine is a must. If you have the time consider taking a river cruise to get a different view of the city. Also river cruises are really informative so you’ll get to learn really interesting facts about some of the buildings. You can watch a portion of the river cruise I went on in my YouTube video below.
