Oracle and tarot decks have been a part of my spiritual practice for about 6 years now. I’ve written posts before where I mention how I like to use oracle and tarot decks for meditation and self-reflection. Since it’s a big part of my life, I thought why not make a post on the best oracle decks for beginners? These decks are beginner friendly and absolutely beautiful. So that is what this post is going to be about today. Make sure you check back for my top tarot decks for beginners coming soon.
DAILY CRYSTAL INSPIRATION BY HEATHER ASKINOSIE
This deck is for all the crystal lovers out there. This crystal deck is perfect for beginners because it has the name of the crystal on each card and a short phrase to help you with the meaning of the card. In the guidebook you get a more in depth meaning for each card, a “core questions” and a “crystal action” section. I find the questions to be really helpful for reflection at the end of the day. It’s a minimal and delightful deck to work with.
MOONOLOGY BY YASMIN BOLAND
If you want to learn more about the moon then this moonology deck is for you. The artwork is by Nyx Rowan and its unbelievably beautiful. The guidebook is small but does have plenty of useful information. In the guidebook you get around four additional meaning for each card, an “attune to the moon” section and a “the teaching” section. There is also another Moonology book (ad) that you can buy separately for more in depth studying of the lunar cycles.
SEASONS OF THE WITCH SAMHAIN ORACLE BY LORRAINE ANDERSON AND JULIET DIAZ
This is a fairly new deck to my collection. The artwork is by Giada Rose and she did an impeccable job with this deck. Each card has a key word or phrase and then a longer meaning at the bottom. The guidebook has more key phrases, as well as a longer meaning and reversed meaning for each card.
MAGICK OF YOU ORACLE BY FIONA HORNE
This deck is probably my favorite oracle deck at the moment. It has breathtaking digital artwork; perfect for self-reflection. The incredible artwork is by Marcela Bolivar. This deck has a key word and phrase to help you understand the meaning of each card. The guidebook has a longer more in-depth meaning and a ritual for every single card in the deck that you can perform if you feel inclined to.
ORACLE OF SHADOWS AND LIGHT BY LUCY CAVENDISH
This was one of my first oracle decks. I personally think this is one of the easiest ones to read intuitively. The artwork is by one of my favorite artists Jasmine Becket-Griffith (ad). Her artwork is very expressive and thought provoking. Each card has a phrase and a few key words. The guidebook has a meaning section, a message from the card itself, and a divination message. If you like fantasy then this is one to check out.
All of these oracle decks are great for beginners because of the keywords, but you can always read intuitively if you wish. I hope you found this oracle decks for beginners post useful. Thanks so much for reading!
