First Impressions: Clinique Moisture Surge Concentrate

Earlier this week I posted the picture above on my Instagram account, and I mentioned how I would probably end up doing a post on my first impressions. Well it’s now a few days later and I am here to tell you I really like the Clinique Moisture Surge Concentrate

Over the past two years I started to notice my skin getting really dehydrated. Since then I have been trying out different products to see which ones would leave my face feeling less dehydrated. One of the ways I find out about new products is by watching YouTube videos and reading blogs. Ever since I starting my YouTube channel I have been watching even more YouTube videos and I ended up watching a video where Caroline Hirons talks about the Clinique Moisture Surge Concentrate. So earlier this week when I went to Ulta I purchased one for myself.

My First Impressions

The first thing I want to mention is the packaging which is just great. It comes with a great pump, it’s simple and pretty as well. The actual product comes out in a gel form. When I first applied it I was surprised that it didn’t feel too sticky and how lightweight it felt. I have been using this product for a few days now and my skin feels great. After I am done applying all of my skincare my skin looks dewy and healthy, which is how I want my skin to always look.

My Skincare Routine: Night Time

My skincare routine is the same as it was all summer although it will be changing for fall. I listed my skincare routine step by step for those of you interested in my skincare routine or in what step I use the Clinique Moisture Surge Concentrate. Remember that just because this routine works for me it doesn’t mean it will work for you.

  1. I cleanse my face using the the Pixi and Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse
  2. I then tone with the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner
  3. For eye cream I use the Kiehl’s Powerful – Strength Line – Reducing Eye – Brightening Concentrate.
  4. Then I use the Clinique Moisture Surge Concentrate, (Before trying this product I was using the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate or the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
  5. Then I use my Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream.

When I try new products I only try out one new product at a time and keep the rest of my skincare routine the same; thats just the way I like to try out new products.

This is the first Clinique product that I’ve tried and and I am really impressed. If you have tried any products for dehydrated skin let me know in the comments below or on any of my social media.
