Whenever I need a new moisturizer or body wash I instantly go to Ulta or Sephora; they are my first two stops when it comes to shopping for beauty and skincare. However, lately I have really been into trying out more drugstore products, and I am happy to report that I have found some Holy Grail worthy products that I think you will love.
Pacifica Mineral SPF 50 Body Butter
Since it’s summer I thought it would be best to start off this list with sunscreen. I can’t stress enough how important sunscreen is. I got this sunscreen in the scent Pineapple Flower and it smells divine. The scent isn’t too overpowering and it wears off pretty fast which I really like. I have worn this sunscreen out on runs and hikes and I never had a problem with it feeling like it was melting off of my body. Like other body butters this sunscreen does have a thicker consistency, so I have to work this into my skin more than other sunscreens. This one does leave a little bit of a white cast on my skin so just keep that in mind if you’re thinking about buying this one.
Sun Bum SPF 50
Another great one is this sunscreen from Sun Bum. It’s vegan and cruelty-free which are two things I am trying to buy more of. It smells really good and it has a nice consistency. This one melts right into my skin and it doesn’t leave a white cast after I apply it.
CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser
I am very picky with my face cleansers. A lot of cleansers tend to dry out my face after about a week of using them. I have a “normal” skin type but it does get dry during the winter. This CeraVe cleanser is very similar to the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. I love the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser, but after a few weeks of using it I have to switch cleansers because I feel like it starts to dry out my face. It’s one of those cleansers I take breaks from. The consistency is very similar between these two cleansers but you get a lot more product with CeraVe. I have used up two bottles of this cleanser and am now on bottle three; I love this cleanser.
CeraVe Micellar Water
Micellar waters are my favorite product for removing eye makeup. The Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water is my all-time favorite but you can’t find that at your local Target or Walmart in the US. This CeraVe micellar water is very gentle on my eyes and that is honestly the most important thing for me when it comes to micellar waters. It obliterates makeup and it doesn’t sting my eyes or face. This is one of my all-time favorites alongside the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water.
Method Body Wash
Method has some of the nicest drugstore products. The one I want to highlight is the one in the scent Wind Down. One of the ingredients is blue lavender and if you’re a lavender enthusiast- is that a thing? – then I think you will love this. The scent is really subtle and it lingers for a while. I think it’s a very relaxing scent so I like to use this at night.
