Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel Review

So I was scrolling through the Sephora website late at night a few week ago – like I always do but don’t we all? – and I stumbled upon Laneige products. Laneige is a brand that I have always seen on their website but never picked up. It was on my list of brands to try and in December I finally did. If you watched my January Favorites video then you might remember I mentioned how in December I started running out of a lot of my skincare and hair products. Eye cream was one of the products that I was definitely running low on. The Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel had good reviews so I thought why not buy it and try it out. I am happy to report that it was a really good purchase and one that I will probably do again.

The Packaging

Okay lets talk about the packaging. It’s gorgeous isn’t it? When I got it in the mail I was surprised with how heavy it was. It is made out of glass so I will probably end up reusing it once I finish the product. Yes, I like to reuse glass containers/bottles for my homemade hair masks and body scrubs. Since the packaging is pretty heavy it’s probably not the best eye cream to travel with.

The Product

The consistency of this eye gel is very lightweight, cooling but not sticky. A little goes a long way when applying this. It does have a very subtle scent; it smells clean. I have mentioned it before and I will do it again, but I just don’t think that fragrance in skincare is necessary. I don’t know if the scent in this eye gel is natural occurring or if it was added purely for the purpose of it smelling good.

The Results

When I apply the Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel my under eye area instantly feel cooler. I am interested to see how this will work on hot summer days when all I want is for my skincare to be cooling. The main thing that I notice every time that I use this is how hydrated my eye area feels right after I apply it and also when I wake up the next day. I have mentioned on my Instagram how cold it has been where I live ( -30 degrees !) and I have been trying to keep my face as hydrated as possible. Skin Dehydration is the number one thing I am always concerned about. The Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel along with my Moon Juice Beauty Shroom Plumping Jelly Serum, and Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Face Cream have been saving my skin this winter.
