Dolce & Gabbana’s 2016 Ready-To-Wear fashion show in Milan revolved around the theme of Mom power. In the back of the runway mothers stood with their children wearing black and white outfits. Out of the 91 looks shown, 3 woman walked the runway with their children. One was old enough to walk, while other two were still babies. My absolute favorite look was with pregnant Bianca Balti, who walking down the runway in a beautiful dress.
It’s so refreshing to see designers put a pregnant woman on the runway. The way that they show that not just models, but that any woman can wear Dolce & Gabbana at any time in their lives, is simply beautiful. Considering that most of their ads revolve around the idea that the whole family can wear Dolce & Gabbana, I think that they should start showing more of this on the runway. How cool would that be?
I could definitely see the femininity and grace throughout the whole show, with the roses and bright childlike doodles on the garments. I look forward to seeing which celebrities will be wearing these beautiful pieces on the red carpet.
