Love is in the air or at least it seems that way since you can’t go to a grocery store right now without seeing Valentine’s Day decorations and gifts everywhere. If you are looking for a good romance novel then you will enjoy the list of must read romance books I compiled for you.

Must Read Romance Books You Will Fall In Love With

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (ad) is hyped up for a reason; it’s really good. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo follows reporter Monique who’s interviewing one of Hollywoods most successful actresses Evelyn Hugo. Monique is offered a chance to write a biography on Evelyn Hugo. Although she is unsure why she was chosen for the job she is intrigued by all the stories Evelyn Hugo tells. This book is filled with romance and heartbreak. It’s an incredibly beautifully written book.

99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne

If you are looking for a lighthearted romance then 99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne is one to check out. This novel follows Darcy Barrett who is struggling with two things, her feelings for her friend that she has known almost her whole life, and her fighting with her twin brother over their inheritance from their grandmother. It’s a slow paced romance, but it’s definitely worth the read.

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

If you haven’t read The Hating Game by Sally Thorne then now is the time to do so. Sally Thorne writes great romance novels, and this one is my favorite. The Hating Game is about two co-workers who really dislike each other, and when they start competing for the same job promotion things only get more complicated. This is a fantastic book to pick up if you love rom-coms.

The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams

If comedy and romance are your thing then check out the Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams. I was pleasantly surprised with this book; it is both funny and heartwarming at the same time. This book is a dual perspective novel that follows two best friends. One is an NFL football player and the other is a ballet instructor. It’s modern and funny- definitely a must read.

The Off Limits Rule by Sarah Adams

Another lighthearted romance that will have you hooked from the beginning is The Off Limits Rule by Sarah Adams. This follows a single mom who had to move in with her brother for financial reasons. She is introduced to her brothers best friend Cooper and is instantly attracted to him. Soon her brother explicitly tells them that they both needed to stay away from each other. Things become complicated very fast. This is a great romance book to pick up when you don’t want something too intense.

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

Looking for a heartbreaking love story? Then The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller is for you. This book is great for all you mythology lovers out there.

Written in the Stars by Alexandria Bellefleur

Written in the Stars by Alexandria Bellefleur is a beautiful romance book. This novel is a dual perspective book that follows astrologer Elle Jones who wants to find love, and Darcy Lowell who just wants her brother to stop setting her up on blind dates. This novel will have you hooked from the very first page. If you are looking to diversify your reading list then make sure you add this LGBTQIA+ book to your tbr list.

Honorary Mention: Romance Authors To Check Out

I could literally write a whole blog post on each of the following authors and gush over how much I love their books, but instead I’ll keep it short. Sarah J. Maas and Jennifer L. Armentrout are authors to check out if you want a great fantasy and romance read. Below are some of my all time favorites.
