Lately I have been pretty good at maintaining a good workout routine. I’m usually the type of person that starts working out and then I loose motivation pretty quickly either because I decide to take a break (which ends in me not working out for weeks), or simply get bored. But, like I said I have been pretty good at keeping a good consistent workout routine. I think that changing up my workout routine every once in a while has kept me from getting bored and kept me motivated to workout. Over the past few weeks I have quickly learned what things have become my essentials, which are listed below.
Workout DVDs: I love workout DVDS. This is how I switch up my workout routines. My favorites are my yoga and pilates DVDs. I really like the ones by Gaiam. If I want a more intense workout then I like this Jillian Michaels dvd.
Yoga Mat: I bought a yoga mat years ago and it definitely comes in handy when I decide to do yoga or pilates.
Hair Ties: I always carry hair ties with me. I cannot stand to have my hair down or in my face when I am exercising.
Snacks & Water: I always have healthy snacks and water around me after a workout. They keep me from eating a bunch of junk until I can make myself a healthy meal.
Comfortable Workout Clothes: I really like to buy myself cute comfortable clothes. I always look forward to working out if I have a nice outfit to wear. However, being comfortable is my top priority when exercising. My go-to brands for workout clothes are Nike, Reebok, and Victoria’s Secret.
A Great Playlist: Listening to music is something I always like doing when I’m working out. I have two very different playlists that I listen to depending on my mood. One of the playlist has very upbeat pop music and the other only has rock/heavy metal music.
