One of the best things about traveling abroad is getting to try new food. Barcelona by far had some of the most delicious vegan food that I tried while traveling abroad. There’s so much to try in Barcelona from tapas to paella and so much more. Below are some of the best places to eat vegan food in Barcelona.
THE BEST PLACES TO EAT VEGAN FOOD IN BARCELONA, SPAIN
BYKATE COFFEE AND CAKES
If you want a delicious vegan latte to start of your day then make sure you check out ByKate in Barcelona. Not only is this cafe aesthetically beautiful but the coffee is really good. They also offer vegan pastries but they were sold out the times I visited. This is definitely a cute place to visit if you want to take a cute coffee picture.

BICIOCI BIKE CAFE
Bicioci Bike Cafe is a great place to stop buy for breakfast. They offer a few vegan options such as their amazing vegan smoothies and coffee. The cafe has a really calm cool vibe to it, so I absolutely loved eating breakfast there. The customer service was also great at Bicioci cafe.

MONCHITO
Monchito is the place to go if you want incredible vegan tacos. I also tried their nachos which were really good. The salsas they offered with their tacos were fantastic and one of them was super spicy. If you don’t like spicy salsas but want to try them then definitely taste a tiny bit before pouring it all over your food. This is a great place to eat vegan food in Barcelona since the whole menu is vegan.
As always I like to be honest when I write these blog post so I just want to say that the food was amazing but I didn’t think the customer service was that great.

CHEESE AND CAKE
I had the most unique lunch at Cheese in Cake which is located near La Sagrada Familia. The food and the sangria tasted delicious and fresh. I ordered a sandwich with strawberries and the combination was genius. It was the perfect spot to eat after a long morning of sightseeing and walking. This restaurant isn’t all vegan so it is a good place to go with friends that don’t have the same dietary preferences as you. It was definitely a pleasant experience eating at Cheese and Cake.

MERCAT DE LA BOQUERIA
The Mercat de la Boqueria is a great place to walk around and try local food. If you’re plant-based you’ll be happy to know that they had plenty of vegan empanadas and fruit. The market has a lot of different vendors so the food varies. This market is also a great place to eat with friends and family who have different food preferences.
There was a Starbucks located right next to the market when I visited, so if you’re feeling homesick and want something that reminds you of home make sure you stop by for your favorite drink.

VEGETALIA
The nachos at Vegetalia were delicious. Vegetalia has a great menu ranging from vegan to gluten free.
Vegetalia has two locations- Born and Gotico.
MOKA
If you are looking for a place to go on a casual date then Moka is the place for you. It’s a really spacious restaurant so it is good place to go with a big group which is what I did. Moka is a mediterranean restaurant with excellent customer service. I had the spaghetti with sautéed vegetables, salad, gazpacho soup and sangria. It was absolutely delicious.

ROCAMBOLESC
If you’re looking for a sweet desert then make sure you check out the popular Rocambolesc. Most of the items on the menu are not vegan friendly but I was assured that the sorbet was. Rocambolesc was a place that was hyped up from the moment I got to Barcelona.
To be honest the consistency of the sorbet was like the pineapple Dole Whip but I like the Dole Whip a lot better. It’s definitely a cute place to stop buy and take a few pictures. The girls I was with loved their ice cream but I honestly wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit. I just wanted to add it to the list since I know there might be some people wandering if they have vegan options.
