The Ordinary is one of those brands that everyone always seems to rave about. When I first heard of the brand I was hesitant to try it mostly because of all the hype. Eventually I gave in and ended up buying a few products. Some of them I have loved while others not so much. I’m happy to report that The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling solution has not been a disappointment.
THE PACKAGING
The peeling solution comes in a glass bottle with a dropper that doesn’t spill too much product. The lid on my bottle doesn’t close all the way down but none of the product has spilled out. I think I just got one that maybe got squished in the packaging process or at the store. Other than that it is very clean minimalistic packaging, which I love.
THE PRODUCT
This is a vegan and cruelty-free AHA 30% and BHA 2% peeling solution. It is meant to be put on a clean dry face for up to 10 minuets. Make sure you avoid the eye area and then rinse off with lukewarm water. I feel like a little goes a long way with this product.
The product itself is of a thicker consistency and it feels a little sticky when applying it.
The first time that I used this it did sting my face a little bit but I hadn’t been exfoliating consistently like I usually do. I think I left it on for less than 10 minuets the first time and after that I was able to leave it on for the full 10 minuets. I use this peeling solution once a week.
THE RESULTS
I mentioned in a recent video that I had been using this peeling solution as well as the Lactic Acid from the Ordinary (I use the lactic acid on the days I don’t use the peeling solution) and I have seen a difference in the texture of my skin. My skin doesn’t sting when I apply this product anymore and my skin feels a lot smoother especially around my cheek area. I also noticed that right after I use the peeling solution my skin has a nice clean glow to it. I love this product and I will definitely be repurchasing it once I am done with it.
