I don’t know about you but I love good warm and cozy tops for winter. Now that it’s starting to get cold out (and I mean super cold like under 20 degrees Fahrenheit) I am only wearing the warmest and coziest tops that I own. I’m very picky with winter clothes; I like them warm, not too heavy, and not too itchy.
When I go shopping for new tops I always like to make sure that I can either layer under or over them. Layering during colder seasons is super important especially if you plan on spending some time outside. Over the years I’ve realized that the base layer is one of the most important things to think about when dressing for super cold climates as well as the layers you add over that.
Warm and Cozy Tops for Winter under $50
For a base layer I recommend a tighter fit top and bottoms that are made of warm materials like cashmere. Cashmere clothing can be really expensive so an alternative that has worked for me is sweat wicking tops like the workout tops you would wear to the gym. Also, Fleece lined tops (ad) and bottoms work great for those super cold winter days. From there you can layer on as much as you need.

H&M Warm Top Finds under $50
H&M is the place to go for affordable and trendy clothes. I like that they always have your basic non-trendy items as well.
